How a room full of generosity raised over $2,000 for connection, inclusion, and opportunity
There are moments when you look around a room and think, this is why we do what we do.
Our recent fundraiser was one of those moments.
In just two hours, our community came together and raised over $2,000—a number that represents so much more than dollars. It represents belief. It represents connection. It represents people showing up—not just physically, but wholeheartedly—for individuals with autism and their families.
To everyone who attended, donated, supported from afar, or simply cheered us on—thank you. You are part of something bigger than an event. You are part of a movement.
Three Missions, One Shared Purpose
This event proudly supported three incredible programs:
- Girls Night Out (GNO) – creating meaningful social opportunities and friendships for young women with autism
- NeurodiversCity – building inclusive spaces where neurodivergent individuals can thrive and feel a true sense of belonging
- The Farmer’s House – providing purpose-driven employment and life skills for adults with developmental disabilities
Each of these programs represents a different stage of life, but they share one common goal: creating a world where individuals with autism are supported, included, and celebrated.
Community Partners Who Made It Possible
We are deeply grateful to our generous community partners who donated auction and raffle items. Your support added excitement, energy, and opportunity to the night:
- Cooper’s Hawk Restaurant
- Boulevard Brewing Company
- The Kansas City Royals
- Starlight Theater
- Chicken N Pickle
- KC Current
- Chipotle
- Vetiver by Rebecca Evans
- Gorgeous KC
- AstetiCare Med Spa
- KC Bier Company
Your contributions helped turn generosity into action—and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Celebrating Creativity: Our Featured Artists
One of the most special parts of the evening was showcasing artwork from talented autistic artists:
- Drew Brady
- Ella McPheeters
- Jason Edwards
Your creativity added heart and meaning to the event. You reminded all of us that expression comes in many forms—and each one deserves to be seen and valued.
A Special Thank You
A huge shoutout to Justin O., our incredible emcee, who brought energy, warmth, and just the right amount of fun to the evening. You helped create an atmosphere where people felt connected and inspired to give.
More Than a Fundraiser
Yes, we raised over $2,000.
But more importantly, we strengthened a community.
We laughed. We connected. We supported one another. And we moved one step closer to a world that embraces neurodiversity in all its forms.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for showing up, for giving, and for believing in this mission.
We can’t wait to see what we accomplish together next.
